An ensemble of ten fuse movement and dialogue in this intriguing world premiere theatrical hybrid that explores the continual impact of childhood experiences on our adult lives as Quincy, a precocious 11-year old seeks to understand what she’s inherited from her absent father and neglectful mother. Featuring music composed by Julia Kent and Son Lux.

Grade 9 and Up
This dance-theater piece takes place in OBERON, and is appropriate for mature high school students age 14 and up.  It contains strong profanity and intense subject matter (including alcoholism, obesity, mental illness).

The Shape She Makes was in part developed during residencies at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s National Theater Institute & The Baryshnikov Arts Center in NYC.
