Power Failure

In a series of episodic scenes, ambition, lust, and greed are exposed through the actions of reputable public figures.  In the first couple of episodes, a journalist wins the sympathy of a murderer to obtain exclusive rights to his story, and a physician peddles diseases to make his rich and powerful patients look sympathetic in court.  I subsequent episodes, a housewife moonlights as a prostitute and a priest indulges his carnal appetites.  The final episodes focus on a munitions manufacturer who bemoans the end of the cold war because it will be bad for business, and a congresswoman who blackmails a war hero who has his eye on the presidency.
