Is your summer in need of some sizzle and sparkle? If so, you won’t want to miss ALTERNA-TEASE!, two nights of the nation’s freshest, hottest, and craziest striptease! Organized by local burlesque performers Lolli Hoops, Femme Brulee, and Jane Doe, this wacky festival, now in its third year, brings together neo-burlesque performers from all over the U.S. and Canada in a celebration of artful oddity and beautiful weirdos!
THURSDAY, AUGUST 13th is the NEW ENGLAND CLAMBAKE, where a raucous round of talent from far and wide kicks off the weekend early, hosted by Jeez Loueez! Not only does this night boast a bevy of local talents and beauties, but certified weirdos from across the continent will set the night on fire while featured performers Red Rum from Chicago and Boston’s very own Devilicia will have you screaming in delight.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 14th is THE TA-TAs: The Alterna-tease Awards Spectacular, helmed by MC Mehran! Performers from all corners of North America show Boston what they’ve got in this exciting and eccentric quasi-competition! Special guests Jeez Loueez and Tigger! grace us with their own brand of bizarre, and our esteemed judges will decide who wins the prize of “Top Banana”! You’ll be on the edge of your seat, rearranging your pants, and feeling all kinds of feelings as these neo-burlesque stars challenge your expectations and push your boundaries…and your buttons.
