BIOGRAPHY
Yanna McIntosh
Yanna McIntosh's roles at the A.R.T. have included Elmire in Tartuffe and Penny Sewell in The Writing Game. After graduating from the Institute and returning to her home in Ontario, Canada, she spent three seasons at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival where she played Maria in Twelfth Night, Lyse in The Illusion, Iras in Anthony and Cleopatra, and the First Fairy in Joe Dowling's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Last summer she played Helena in the Canadian Stage production of Midsummer, staged in High Park. Ms. McIntosh has worked in numerous theatres in and around Toronto. Some roles included Beatrice in The Servant of Two Masters; Marge, the lesbian sperm courier and Zee, the hippie midwife in A Fertile Imagination; and Tamara, a futuristic, cyber-renegade in Savage Finesse. Media and radio credits include Babymakers (Heartstar); The Nightingale (CBC-Radio); Street Legal and a recurring role on Side Effects (CBC-TV).
